Head Team Coach: Justine Coote

Assistant Team Coach: Lia Ciarallo

Dev 6 Hour Team

What we love about Synchro... We love workout, learning new routines, as well as swimming the routine. We also love having fun at practice!

Qualities we look for in a coach... We look for a coach that knows the right times to be serious and when to be nice.

Qualities we look for in fellow teammates... We look for teammates who are nice and easy to get along with. We also like when they are kind and friendly.

What we are looking forward to this season... We are looking forward to swimming at the Christmas Show. We are also looking forward to travelling and having fun at our competitions.

  • Emma Burns

    Years at Club: 2nd year

    Summer Pool: Pincourt

Why I Love Synchro: I love synchro because it is fun and I like the competitions with my friends.

My Best Synchro Memory: My best synchro memory was last year when I was picked to be on the novice team.

  • Chloe Casarotto

  • Emily Cohen

    Years at Club: Two

    Summer Pool: Glenmore

Why I Love Synchro:  One of the reasons is that I love to swim. Synchro isn’t just boring laps though, it’s kind of dancing in the water; it shows not only your personality but also all of the group’s personality in one routine. My last reason is obviously that it is super fun! I get to be with my old and new friends in the pool doing our thing!

My Best Synchro Memory: My first winter competition (ever), my team and I were super excited, we had tried our hardest. We were waiting in front of the podium for the judges to announce the places. There were only four teams and everyone got something. They announced fourth place, then third. It was like a dramatic pause while waiting for them to announce second place. We crossed our fingers until they were read and squeezed our eyes shut, hoping to be first. Then we heard second place, it wasn’t us!!! We were first! It didn’t hit me until my friend (and teammate) Emma told me. We were so excited we almost jumped up and yelled. We squealed while waiting to be called up instead. Hearing our team being called made me believe it that much more and it was almost like tasting chocolate for the first time. We ran up and got our medals!

  • Marina Grazzini

Years at Club: this is my second year.

    Summer Pool: my backyard pool!

Why I love Synchro:  I love Synchro for 3 reasons: I love dancing, I love swimming and I love being part of a team.

My Best Synchro Memory: Winning the gold medal at my first two competitions last year with the Novice team. And also winning the Club most improved athlete (Novice Team) award  at the end of the season.

  • Sarah Jodoin

    Years at Club: First

    Summer Pool: Heights

Why I Love Synchro: I wasn't interested in Synchro until my family rejoined Heights Pool after a 3 year absence last summer.  I had always loved competitive swimming and had come from a summer pool  where that was the big thing.  Heights, however, is a big Synchro pool and everyone looked like they were having so much fun during try-out week that I reluctantly decided to give it a try.  I was placed on a team with the best coach (Christine Clog) and despite my foot cast, she made everything so much fun- the routines, the music and the practices! I ate, breathed and slept Synchro all summer!  I liked it so much, in fact, that I decided to try it in the winter

My Best Synchro Memory: I don't have a single best Synchro memory... I just love it when all the practicing and preparation come together and my team performs their best during a routine at competitions.

  • Allysa Rutenberg

Years at Club: 2 years on teams

    Summer Pool: Westpark

Why I love Synchro: I love synchro because I love swimming and being on a team. Synchro makes me feel special because it makes me feel unique.

My best Synchro memory: Last year, winning the first two competitions, winning gold medals.
