Head Coach: Laura Swift

Assistant Coach: Erin Willson

  • Julia Bray

Years at Club: this will be my fourth year

Summer Pool: My home pool is Westminster and I will be working at Thorndale

Why I love Synchro: I love synchro because it always pushes me to be in better shape. It is a very physically demanding sport and I always like to be challenged. Another reason why I love synchro is because you're with the girls on your team everyday for endless hours and you develop the most amazing friendships. The people you meet all share one common interest and that's what makes you get along so well. For example; when you're at a competition and all the girls are cheering for the opposing teams, its a great environment to be around!

My Best Synchro Memory: My best synchro memory was when I was on the Intermediate Team and we qualified for Jeux Du Quebec. On the day of the competition, we were taking the bus to the pool with a few other clubs and the whole bus just started to chant synchro songs. It was fun because no one knew anyone on the bus and we all forgot about being opponents and came together as a synchro family. It will be one of the moments in my synchro career that I'll always remember!

  • Mollie Crevier-Morin

    Nombre d’années au club : 5 years

  • Eva Gourdji

Years at Club: This is my second year

    Summer Pool: Beaconsfield Heights

Why I love Synchro: I love everything about synchro! The artistic side of the sport, the training, the suits and makeup are all amazing parts to it, though the biggest reason is my team. No matter what our differences are, we put them aside and become more than just team mates, but family. We work so hard all year achieving our goals together and it pays off each competition. My team is the main reason why I love synchro, because they push me to do the best I can.

My Best Synchro Memory: My best synchro memory is from Les Jeux du Quebec in 2010 on the Intermediate team. It was unforgettable and the most fun I've ever had at a competition. We all became that much closer representing Lac St. Louis wearing our hats and jerseys. From zip lining above the snow to playing pranks on the coaches, I wish I could go back again one last time with them.

  • Caitlin Hoyland

Years at Club: This is my fourth year at Dollard

    Summer Pool: Cedar Park

Why I Love Synchro: I love synchro because there's nothing else like it. Everything about it is unique to every person and yet a team swims as one person. I love synchro because I have met so many amazing people because of it. Every day at synchro is like a revelation; you learn so much from synchro. I love synchro because it's a part of me and if I never started synchro I wouldn't be who I am today.

My Best Synchro Memory: I can't choose just one memory to be my favorite, there are too many memories that I cherish. Every year there are great new experiences with new teams and different coaches and almost every practice of the year I have a new memory that I can look back on and smile.

  • Catherine Imbeault

Years at Club: This is my fifth year

    Summer Pool: Glenmore

Why I Love Synchro: Because it's an amazing sport that requires a lot of hard work and determination but also lets you have fun. You get to make a lot of friends and improve a lot. I also like to meet new coaches and teammates every year to learn from them. I like the different challenges that this sport brings and you never get tired of it.

My Best Synchro Memory: My best memory is the 2011 Nationals in Gatineau. It was my first ever Nationals and we did amazing. We finished first in Combo and second in team. It was a great accomplishment for me. Also, I have a lot great memories from the previous years. Overall, every competition is memorable and I will cherish these for life.

  • Fabienne Jonsson

Years at Club: This will be my eighth year

Summer Pool: My home pool is Heights and I will be working there once again this summer.

Why I Love Synchro: I love synchro because it is a very demanding sport physically as well as mentally. I also love it because I love challenges, and in synchro there is always something you need to work on or that you could have done better. Finally, I love synchro because it is an amazing sport and I can have fun with my team while working very hard.

My Best Synchro Memory: My best synchro memory is when I went to Denmark with my sister for the Danish National Championships. It was an amazing experience. I was very curious to see how competitions went on in different countries and I was happy to finally get a chance to see this for myself. My sister and I, not only did we have fun but we got amazing results. We came first in duet and I came first in solo. I was very pleased by these results but most of all I was happy with the experience.

Years at Club: This will be my 5th year

    Summer Pool: Glenmore Pool

Why I love Synchro: I love synchro because it is a very physical demanding sport and very artistic at the same time. What I really love about synchro is the team spirit that we have during practices and competitions. It is always so much fun to be around with your team, knowing that we are all always there for each other.

My Best Synchro Memory: My best memory so far was the 2011 Nationals in Calgary. My team and I ranked 3rd overall and we were all very proud of ourselves. This was my first nationals ever and I had a great time there. We all worked as a team and we were so proud to be able to reach our goals. It was a great experience that I will cherish for a long time.

  • Brittany Stott

Years at Club: This will be my 5th

Summer Pool: Viking and Sunnyside Pools

Why I Love Synchro: Synchro is a very difficult sport. It is very challenging, and requires a lot of skill and dedication. I love synchro because each year brings something new. We are always improving and learning new routines, and each routine is extremely different from the others. Also, throughout the year, you build amazing friendships with the girls on your team, and make life long memories.

My Best Synchro Memory: Last year, when we travelled to Calgary for Nationals. It was a fantastic experience, and I had so much fun with my team. I had never had the opportunity to travel outside of Quebec for a competition, so last year's Nationals created amazing memories. Our team placed third in Canada, and we were all very proud of our accomplishments.

  • Julie Weber

Years at Club: This is my 2nd year.

    Summer Pool: Beaconsfield Heights

Why I Love Synchro: I love synchro because I like how close each team is and how we all love to work hard. I also love how beautiful and effortless it is but it is also so physically demanding. Another part I really like is the artistic side of it, the suits and the makeup. Synchro is a huge part of my life and I can't imagine life without it.

My Best Synchro Memory: My best synchro memory was Nationals 2011. Coming from a small club, this was my first big competition. It was also the last competition of the season so it was our last swim as a team. We pushed through and together we accomplished alot. I will never forget it!
